The Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem is a resource where VARs, MSPs, MSSPs, SOCs and CISOs can find everything they need to build and scale an effective cybersecurity business practice. Join Us in Shaping the Cybersecurity Future, Together!
This ecosystem contains the best spectrum of cybersecurity solutions that have been evaluated and recommended by cybersecurity professionals (including CISOs). As new solutions arise, our community of CISOs and cyber experts will examine them before they can be featured on the CDE list. We do NOT recommend or endorse any vendor as we are still in the vetting process and we do not sell any product. AI is transforming most solutions as the race continues to do more with a consolidated and well-integrated solution.
We are on a mission to reduce the number of cyber solution in the approved tech stack to under 50 or as much as possible thereby removing the confusion and death by a thousand tools! All suppliers must also be channel-centric because it is the channel that will promote, sell, deploy and manage their solutions.
A substantial portion of the membership benefits are available for free. In many cases that will be enough for many members. That said, all benefits will add incremental value to your business as we continue to work with vendors and partners to minimize costs for our members with more discounts, rebates and support. The goal is to eventually deliver MANY multiples in return value to our members to justify the annual fee of $595! But no worries and no risks as your first year is free to test-drive.

How to get started
First, sign up to the CDE to start receiving the monthly newsletters and invites to membership meet-ups in your region. Meet and network your peers and colleagues. Discover what the mission and community is about.
If you are in the business of selling, implementing and managing cybersecurity solutions and services to end-customers, you may recognize yourself in one of the following types:
The Cyber Defense Ecosystem (CDE) offers distinct advantages for various types of Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including those with Security Operations Centers (SOCs). By becoming a CDE member, these organizations can immediately start benefiting by simply meeting and collaborating with each other!
For Retiring VARs:
- Challenge: Limited exit strategies and a lack of recurring revenue models.
- CDE Solution: Facilitate the transfer of client bases to MSSP or SOCs that can convert them into monthly recurring revenue for cybersecurity services, in exchange for a commission.
For VARs Transitioning to Managed Services and/or Cybersecurity:
- Challenge: While some recurring revenue may exist from SaaS, HaaS, or VoIP, significant cybersecurity recurring revenue is often absent. High costs and human resource requirements can hinder a full conversion to a cybersecurity-first MSP or MSSP.
- CDE Solution: Enable outsourcing of cybersecurity services to an MSSP or SOC in exchange for a commission, bypassing the need for extensive in-house development.
For MSPs Aspiring to be Cybersecurity-First Organizations:
- Challenge: Similar to transitioning VARs, these MSPs face hurdles in developing a robust cybersecurity practice due due to cost, human resources, time, and energy constraints.
- CDE Solution: Leverage CDE's suppliers and technologies to bridge the gap and accelerate migration to an MSSP through a combination of in-house development, outsourced services, and fractional talent.
For Established Cybersecurity-First MSPs:
- Challenge: Seeking new methods to scale operations or eventually transition to an MSSP.
- CDE Solution: With a solid foundation already in place, CDE provides resources to address any gaps and scale more efficiently and quickly. We can help you transition to MSSP.
For MSSPs and SOCs:
- Challenge: Identifying and filling gaps in their existing solutions and services, and exploring opportunities for growth.
- CDE Solution: Provides opportunities to evaluate current tech stack and "cherry-pick" solutions to fill known and unknown gaps. Additionally, CDE fosters potential collaborations with other MSPs and VARs as an outsourcing partner to sell more managed cyber services.
Attend one of the upcoming cybersecurity defense ecosystem summits throughout the year to meet the CDE community. Details can be found on our events website, ChannelNext.
The Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem Summit (CDES) is a cybersecurity educational and networking one-day event held around North America. It's the meeting place for the Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem (CDE) channel community in the local region. Members may start local CDE chapters to meet more often.
Expect a jam-packed day of cyber education, networking and fun. As a CDE Freemium member, you may attend any CDE in-person event at a 50% discount (MSP, MSSP, or SOC). Paid members may attend ALL CDE events for FREE. Non-members pay $249.
Don't miss out on our upcoming events in the United States, Canada, and soon Europe.
